Police quickly responded to a ‘silent call’ where they heard screams – only to find a couple in Bedworth enjoying some ‘alone time’.

North Warwickshire police have revealed that they received a silent 999 call from a property in Bedworth, phoned back and could hear loud screams.

Officers were quickly sent to the scene, only to find that the owner of the mobile phone and her partner were taking advantage of some ‘alone time’.

In a post on the North Warwickshire Cops page on Facebook, it reports: “No offences at the location. Officers promptly resumed.”

It formed part of the latest ‘the last 24 hours’ post which details some of the jobs that the team have responded to on Sunday (September 10) and yesterday (Monday, September 11).

Other incidents include ongoing enquiries to trace a shoplifter who steal £219 worth of electrical items from a shop in Market Place and make off.

A call out was made to a property in Nuneaton where suspects have taken a spare wheel from under a Land Rover Discovery, and a car key burglary in Bedworth.
