Things are moving quickly for the team behind The Uttoxeter Food & Drink Festival, which is set to take place at Uttoxeter Racecourse on Saturday, June 23 and Sunday, June 24.
The first of what it is hoped will become an annual fixture is attracting great interest from local food producers, businesses and prospective visitors alike.
With fifty five exhibitors having already confirmed their attendance, representing everything from beers and wines through to cheeses, meat, chocolates and everything in between there is a good mix of local producers and those from further afield, with stallholders travelling from Cheshire, Wales and Dorset to be a part of this exciting new event.
Among the exhibitors is the Orchard Pigs pie company from Wrexham, whose founder Rob Didier trained under Raymond Blanc. In addition to the opportunity to browse, sample and purchase food from artisan producers visitors will get the chance to pick up tips and recipes during the live cookery demonstrations from top local chefs.
Real ale fans are in for a treat with the on-site beer hall offering a host of local brews, whilst families will have their own area with face- painting, play area, inflatables, fairground rides and pony rides to keep the kids entertained.
Dan Whitehead, Senior Events Executive at Uttoxeter Racecourse, said: “The response to the festival has been beyond what we could have hoped for we’ve got some brilliant stalls and demonstrations lined up and the festival will genuinely offer something for the whole family.
“There’s been a huge number of enquiries coming into the Racecourse regarding the festival and advance ticket sales are very pleasing. It’s been great working with the team from the Stone Food and Drink Festival on this event, whose experience has been invaluable we just can’t wait for the big weekend now!”
Public tickets for the two-day festival, priced £10 for a family ticket and £6 for an adult ticket (single day admission) are available online at www.uttoxeter-racecourse.co.uk with day tickets also available to purchase on the gate.
