BEDWORTH United manager Bernie Cope is calling for his team to extend their winning run when they go to Soham Town Rangers tomorrow, kick-off 3pm.
The Greenbacks have won their last two, the most recent of which was the 6-1 FA Cup Preliminary Round canter against Dudley Town last weekend.
He said: “We should have confidence and we should be looking to win, as we always do.
“We’ve played four games this season and I think we’ve played well in three of them. The only one we didn’t play particularly well in was the league game we won.
“I think if we perform as we have in the majority of games then we should give ourselves a chance. The key for me is to perform well, if that happens you are likely to get the result you want.
“Soham are going to be tough opponents even if they are struggling. They are a team we know a bit about so we’ll go there in good spirits.” Soham are currently bottom of the table with just one point from their opening four games, while Bedworth have three from as many matches.
The Greenbacks will be without winger Alex Dean (knee) and striker Mark Withers (ankle). Midfielder Ben Twigger (hamstring) and left-back Dominic Reece (knee) are both doubts.
Cope was delighted with the win against Dudley and the performance that went with it.
“We did really well on the day. We were favourites to go through but it doesn’t always work out that way.
“The players had the right attitude and 6-1 was certainly a fair result,” he said.
Bedworth will play Midland Combination Premier Division side Causeway in the next round.
GREENBACKS FROM: Farmer, Wear, Reece, Orton, Morris, Cooper, Cartwright, Twigger, Greenway, Scott, Wilks, Gormley, Rathbone, L Williams, Norman, Ramsay, Barlone, Blyth
