A NEW centre has received a special visit by a leading politician.
North Warwickshire and Bedworth MP Dan Byles called in to the Numidia Education and Training Centre.
The facility has now been open in Bedworth for a little over four weeks.
“We are really excited about the opening of our new centre and we have already helped a number of residents gain new skills and qualifications,” said centre manager Leila Anane.
“We are working very closely with Bedworth JobCentre and other partners to boost opportunities in the local area and were delighted to welcome Dan Byles, MP for North Warwickshire and Bedworth, to our training centre.”
Tory politician Dan Byles said: “I was very impressed with my visit to Numidia Academy’s new training facility in Bedworth.
“Numidia have clearly achieved a wonderful balance between being small and friendly, at the same time as being highly professional and good at what they do.
“The staff I met were welcoming and dedicated, and the learners I spoke with were clearly enjoying their experience.
Numidia Academy are a welcome addition to Bedworth, and they are providing a valuable service to local jobseekers looking to improve their skills.
“I am also delighted that they have agreed to support the forthcoming Nuneaton and Bedworth Job Fair that Marcus Jones and I are organising in the Bedworth Civic Hall on June 28, which will help bring local employers together with people who are seeking work.”
Leila Anane added: “We are looking forward to working closely with Mr Byles in his forthcoming Job Fair in Bedworth, where we will be providing information about the courses and qualifications that we offer.
“One of our most popular qualifications is the employability programme. Over the past few weeks 17 learners have now achieved an employability qualification with us at our new centre.
“This course has helped these learners to identify their skills and attributes and to apply for jobs in a more meaningful way. Indeed, some of these learners have now entered employment.
“The employability qualification is for many learners their first formal qualification and therefore provides a significant boost to their CV.”
Leila Anane added: “We look forward to advising residents of the learning opportunities that we offer in the upcoming job fair.”
