Singing challenge

A SINGING sensation who is starring in this year's X Factor will be one of the many talented performers taking to the stage in a showstopping spectacular.

Nuneaton singer Jordan Williams faced X Factor judges Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Cheryl Cole as he auditioned to get through the competition.

But he will now be facing an even tougher challenge of performing in his home town as he will be taking part in Nuneaton Carnival's `Royal Variety Show'.

The talented singer will be one of many acts who will be wowing the crowds during the event, which is hosted by Nuneaton Carnival Queen Siobhan Hall and her Maids Ruby Kapadia, Rachel Spencer and Rebecca Wincott.

The annual extravaganza will be taking place on Friday, September 10 and Saturday, September 11 at the Abbey Theatre and Arts Centre in Nuneaton.

A array of acts will be treading the boards at the Pool Bank Street-based theatre on both nights from 7.30pm and everyone is being invited along to support the event.

Dancers from Julie Bromage Dance Academy will be joining Jordan Williams on the stage to wow the crowds on both nights.

But these will not be the only performers as Tamworth Pantomime & Youth Academy will also be a entertaining audiences as well as Raqs Dance, Sarah Duce and Darrel Starkey.

Ford Factor winner, James Ashfield, will also be supporting the proceedings many more acts will also be taking to the stage.

A spokesperson for the event said: "The Royal Variety Show is always a great night out and brilliant fun for all the family.

"Once again we have a great line-up of acts including Jordan Williams, Julie Bromage Dance Academy, Sarah Duce and many more so come along for a great night out."
