Tributes for murdered grandmother
A man will appear in court on Monday charged with the murder of a "devoted" grandmother found stabbed and beaten to death.
Stewart Dale, 27, is accused of killing Jenny Hume, 55, who was discovered in the early hours of Friday morning at a property near Oxford.
Her body was found after police were called to an address in Prospect Park, Horspath, at 2am.
A post-mortem examination found Ms Hume, a divorcee of Hamel Walk in Oxford, died from a blunt trauma injury to the head. She also suffered stab wounds during the attack.
Detectives believe Ms Hume knew her alleged aggressor and have been working to establish their precise relationship. The pair are not believed to be related.
Thames Valley Police released a tribute from Ms Hume's family.
It said: "She was a mother of three and a devoted grandmother of three.
"Her main interests were looking after her grandchildren and in her spare time she also enjoyed horse-riding."
Dale, from Prospect Park, will appear in custody at Oxford Magistrates' Court.
