BROTHERS who were battling it out to win a national competition both narrowly missed out on the first place position and a top title.
But even though Michael and Gareth Gray are disappointed at not winning Mr England 2010 they are still looking on the bright side as they had a `fantastic experience.'
After a long campaign, which began at the start of this year, the siblings were whittled down to the 12 finalists with a special ceremony taking place on Wednesday night.
They both experienced the bright lights and stage during the contest as they took part in a catwalks and sections in the competition.
The glittering event took place at Birmingham Hilton Metropole and eventually Vaughan Bailey, aka Mr Birmingham, was named the winner.
Disappointment has been short-lived as the brothers will be appearing in a BBC3 television show which has followed them around which is all about sibling rivalry.
The pair also take pride in the fact that they made Mr England history as they were the first brothers to compete against each other in the event, as well as having the titles of Mr Coventry and Mr Nuneaton.
Tim Gray, Michael and Gareth's dad said: "They are both incredibly tired as they had to be at the venue from Tuesday afternoon all the way through until end on Wednesday evening which is a long time.
"Naturally they are both disappointed that they did not win, but they both got a great experience out of doing the competition.
"I am very proud of both Michael and Gareth for all that they have achieved throughout the competition and they have worked really hard.
"The organisers were running a little behind schedule on the night and only announced who won and came second and it is not know who gained the third place yet."
Riding high from all the excitement of the contest Michael will continue to be working at Ross Hair Studio in Nuneaton.
Gareth will now be going to university to study nutritional health and has been given numbers of modelling agencies to contact.
